Azur Parapente: a story of free flight enthusiasts
Founded in 1996 by Christian Vidal, Azur Parapente is the first paragliding company to establish itself in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, offering everyone the opportunity to discover the French Riviera by paragliding.
Christian Vidal, an engineer by training and a graduate of INSA Lyon, discovered paragliding in 1986 and immediately fell in love with the discipline.
He became a state-certified paragliding instructor (BEES 1st degree) in 1996 and a trainer of future paragliding instructors from 2002.
Since the creation of Azur Parapente, Christian Vidal has worked as a professional tandem instructor at the Mont Gros site, with the approval of the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin town hall. His motto, "safety and passenger enjoyment," reflects his commitment to providing a safe and memorable experience for all. Christian was even selected by the TV show Thalassa for a feature, where he took journalist Bernard Dussol up into the air.
For several years, Thierry Delorme has taken up the torch, determined to carry on the work of Christian Vidal, with whom he worked closely. Passionate about paragliding, Thierry is committed to sharing this passion.
He upholds the values of safety, enjoyment, and excellence that have always defined Azur Parapente.
By bringing together a team of 7 top-level instructors, he has propelled Azur Parapente to the forefront of paragliding on the Côte d'Azur.
A DEJEPS-certified paragliding professional, he leads the Paragliding Check-up workshop and guarantees the quality and certification of paragliding equipment. His expertise is recognized by the world's leading paragliding brands internationally.

All members of the Azur Parapente team are passionate about outdoor activities that they practice regularly (mountaineering, skydiving, wingsuit, kitesurfing, wingfoil, etc.).
Whether in the air, on the water, or on land, we always stay connected with nature—our playground. Respecting and protecting it is part of our DNA. It was therefore only natural for us to actively work toward making our business more environmentally friendly, with concrete actions every day:
✓ Using light vehicles running on LPG for our travels.
✓ Organizing group flights with several instructors to minimize the carbon footprint of each flight.
✓ Choosing a meeting point near Roquebrune-Cap-Martin train station, making it easier for you to arrive by train.
✓ Recycling our paragliding equipment through our partner Checkup-Parapente, giving it a second life.
✓ Acting to respect and preserve our flight sites.
✓ Actively campaigning for the protection of areas dedicated to flora and fauna.
