Paragliding tandem flights are available to anyone weighing between 20 and 80 kg, with no special restrictions. Children can fly from the age of 4 or 5, as long as they weigh at least 20 kg. There is no upper age limit.

No particular level of fitness is required: you simply need to be able to run a few steps with your instructor at take-off and landing. Passengers weighing between 80 and 95 kg must be able to run actively for 10 to 15 metres at take-off. For passengers over 95 kg, flights depend on wind conditions and must be confirmed in advance.

No, it is physiologically impossible to experience vertigo while paragliding. Vertigo only occurs when your body remains directly connected to the ground (a cliff, ladder, or suspension bridge), causing a balance conflict between the inner ear and vision.  

While paragliding, as soon as your feet leave the ground, this feeling disappears immediately. You sit comfortably in an ergonomic harness, like an armchair, securely strapped in front of your instructor. It gives you a gentle, reassuring and completely calming feeling of floating.

You never jump into thin air when paragliding. Take-off is from a gentle grassy slope at the summit of Mont Gros (700 metres above sea level).  

The passenger plays an essential active role: after their instructor’s safety briefing, they walk forward and then run energetically ahead, without sitting down or jumping. The inflated wing lifts the weight of both passenger and instructor after just a few strides. Take-off is smooth and gradual, with no jolts. You can see what happens during a flight in pictures.  

Azur Parapente operates during the authorised coastal flying season, from October to the end of April—the only time of year when landing on Golfe Bleu beach is officially permitted for paragliders.  The meeting point is on Avenue Le Corbusier in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (right next to Cabbé SNCF station and Snack Chez Nana). Our official shuttle (Dacia Jogger) will take you to the launch site on Mont Gros. After landing on the beach, it’s just a 5-minute walk along a small path back to our welcome point. Paragliding is entirely dependent on weather conditions. The day before your flight, at around 6:00 pm, we’ll check the forecast and confirm, adjust the time, or postpone your flight by text or phone.
